"press" means media........papers, magazines, television,
The bodybuilding magazines and websites will be covering this event, as expected for a bodybuilding contest.
"press" in this case does not mean...........2 guys from bodybuilding magazines, and a bodybuilding photographer
i shouldnt have to explain this to you
as press conference is where media outlets cover a story for a event to be translated to the general public
The general public DOES NOT CARE about bodybuilding. We pretty much know that. So, what's the point of your complaining about it? As I said earlier, with the advent of the internet, bodybuilding fans would MUCH RATHER get the results and/or see the bodybuilding contests IMMEDIATELY, than wait for ESPN to air a contest (after it's been chopped, edited, and dubbed beyond repair) MONTHS after the show has taken place.
If ESPN covered this show the way it used to do bodybuilding contests, back in the late 80s/early 90s, you'd probably wouldn't see it until aorund Christmas (at the earliest). And then, you'd have to be up at 3 a.m. to catch the 30-minute version of the show.
no one in south flordia will be covering this event from any ACTUAL press
this serves more as a "meet the competitors" event
As the Tampa Bay area, where I grew up, isn't considered "South Florida" (that's Miami, Ft. Lauderdale territory), your astute observation is noted.
