AND BY THE WAY....  Facetime by Apple, is not a new feature.... It may be new in the US... but its been around for a very long time in the rest of the world....


I bought this I-Mate JasJar (HTC) in 2006 while visiting China, and it had two cameras, one facing the front for video conferencing:  



Lots of other phones also had this feature!!! Seen many Nokias with it as early as 2004!

Agree 100%, the body is soooo that of a BB Curve, but running Windows Mobile!  My second phone with an international sim card is an older blackberry model :-D

I've been running treo's for 7 years, up until my switch to blackberry and iphone few years ago, the palm OS versions rocked but the windows  CE/mobile ones sucked ass..how slow is the reaction time on that os/phone? is that pad in the centre like a trackball ?

I agree the iphone gets talked about alot and the facetime shit is a joke considering its been around in the uk for about 8 years but a good smartphone is a life changer imho. I laughed at people who said that before I owned one but it makes life so much easier.

My favorite phone EVER which I owned, was the Motorola Q8 (GSM Version), but it was disappointing because it didn't have 3G (unlike the CDMA version of Verizon and Sprint - which had 3G via EV-DO)





I later bought the the Q9, but I really disliked the look of it, plus it didn't have global 3G, only country specific, so I ended up returning it!

I'm willing to say the treo (not neccssarily that 600) was the first mainstream smartphone out there, it was out before many of the other models and it revolutionized the game, shame cause they went out of business and got bought out LOL   My wife has had the original iphone and now has the iphone 3GS, she loves it, but its not for me - I prefer the keypad and no touchscreen!  I'm sure she will get the iphone 4 in a year when our contract is up!  
As for myself, in a year when its time to renew our contract, i'm debating if I wanna stay with Windows Mobile or go the blackberry route again, all depends what new windows phones will be out in a year!

My issue with blackberry is as I do travel often and have multiple sim cards, I would need to have blackberry service activated here in the US as well as in Egypt (where my work is based) and I don't know if I could have TWO different blackberry services from different carriers linked to 1 blackberry (or 1 blackberry pin).

This is very true, I had an original blackberry wayback when RIM was unheard of back in 2002 or 2003 the old school wide as hell blue ones with the data wheel! I only got it because at the time no one else had email support/push or mobile web browsing and I hate an unlimited data plan but that phone was awful compared to where they have gone in the last 3-4 years.
