Strict curl

Just wondering what you all think about this lift being part of powerlifting.
How long has this been a lift? I hadn't heard of it till I came back to the sport last year.

Interesting idea for me, as I've always had a relatively strong curl. My PR was 125 for 6 at a bodyweight of 158 or so. I'm curious what the world records by weight classes?

It would probably take a back seat to the overhead press and barbell row.
