You have def. put in the work since you first mentioned you were going for this puppy. I can appreciate the effort you are putting into this for that cert. It's a beast and very rewarding.

I've heard stories of companies paying over 100k/yr simply to have a CCIE on their payroll (guy physically never even set foot on company grounds either)

Nothing wrong with having personal goals. They keep you going strong. My goal is the be the first in my family to gain a PHD, so goals are good in my book.

think the head engineer at verison...ok no..think who runs the INTERNET???  its a CCIE....we run the net...

go configure verisons network from scratch...and u r a CCIE...thats what the lab is....plus problems that r never seen in the real world...cause they r too complex    

basically you gotta know to bring up an isp 100 different ways ......you r gonna see shit that would NEVER happen in the real world....but you gotta know how to scratch yer nose 50 different ways

i'm a CCNA...Ethical hacker...CCNP...CCIP...C CIE written ..JNCIP....no degree...and a CCSI...a cisco instructor..and i'm damn good at what i do...i wont be modest about that...except with the CCIE i didn't have to work hard for any of the previous certs....people dont like to hear it...but it ws easy for me and i ws a drunk as i ws doing most of it...girl dying...always almost dying...i drank a lot......but in the mean time i ended up teaching for the FBI....DOD...military... SAIC (and people i cannot mention)....etc etc

BUT...once i pass my CCIE in routing n switching...next is CCIE in ISP (internet service provider) which i shall take in 1 yr after the CCIE RnS..and then i shall take the CCIE in security and then the CCIE is voice
