I'm pretty sure Max_Rep (Dave Young) knows how to get a hold of him. They live (or at least use to) in the same area and trained at the same gym. Dave writes for Iron Man and did a great article on Fisher. Last I heard, Dave mentioned that Fisher was becoming a police officer. Good to hear he's opening a gym in that area. I didn't care much for the Gold's in Redondo Beach nor the 24 hour which is pretty much all they had in the area as far as commercial gyms go.

Sure is, Haz! A very good friend of mine back in the days when he was winning contests. Last time I heard from Gary was when he got lost and found after three days in some forest on the west side to the Sierra.

Interesting story but I gotta find Gary to get those complete details.

How bout John Corvello? I lifted with him a long while back when he was training for the Cal at the Moonlite Health Club up in or near San Jose. Last I heard about John was that he was working in some high class spa in Los Angeles and now may be a stock-broker.

Haz, I'm sure we have mutual friends or a shit-load of people we know in common.

Spent many a time in that hospital. My niece was born there. I had a couple of surgeries there. Several MRIs. I did prefer Little Company of Mary down the street a few miles, though. Torrance seemed a little bit more run down than Little Company of Mary. BTW, why is it that everyone I know that works in the medical field have to work so many hours? Is it due to a labor shortage or what? What do you do there?

I lived in or near Torrance, CA for over a decade and never saw a Power House Gym. Is it new? If so, what is the address? I'm sure MaxRep knows as he lives in the area and interviewed Dave a couple of years ago for Iron Man.

Pellius I just started training there although I’ve visited several times and wrote about in my blog on Iron Man. Mike Neveux has been doing a lot of photo shoots there for Iron Man. It’s on the corner of Palos Verdes Blvd. and Sepulveda in the same plaza where Texas Lucy’s is located.

Dave has a great gym about the same size facility as Barlow’s/Kasey’s Gym was. He’s got a good client atmosphere and top-notch equipment. He just got a call from Tom Platz today (I’ve run into Tom in the neighborhood a few times). Looks like Tom is going to be coming into Dave’s for a workout. The place is about to rev into high gear! 

Yes, the gym just celebrated the one-year anniversary.

When he did the column I wrote him a letter, must be 15 or maybe close to 20 years ago. Got back a nice letter, he really took the time to answer. I remember he enjoyed recieving a letter from Europe...
