in this age of  wide open passing games  in the nfl and all the great receivers, rules that favor the offense and the quarterbacks, it's hard to believe that the single game passing record turned 59 on oct 8 this year. 554 yards passing in one game by norm van brocklin.

It will be broken in the next 2 seasons, I predict. Some Qb's lately have come close. Matt Schaub threw for over 500 yards two weeks ago against the Skins. Warren Moon almost did it over 10 years ago.

It's only a matter of time before someone like Brady, Manning, or Brees breaks it.

still it's hard to believe this record has stood this long. joe dimaggio 56 game hitting streak i can see lasting. just find it hard to believe no one broke this yet.

just checked warren moon is second with 527 yards in 1990 and boomer esiason is third with 522 in 1996. the td passes in one game is 7 by five guys last guy to do it was in 1969 joe kapp. so that record is aging pretty well also.
