You've travelled through life and made mistakes

You probably thought you knew everything at 21

Knowing what you do now......

What advice would you give to younger guys trying not to screw up.

I'm talking money management, happiness, career, relationships.

Please share some words of wisdom

Don't get married under the age of 25...
INVEST in a diverse mutual fund starting at age 18 with 5-10% of your monthly income...don't fucking touch it.
Don't get in debt outside of a mortgage...You don't need a flashy car...don't invest in things that depreciate.
Wear a condom...unless you're married...
Take care of your body...stay away from drugs, watch your blood pressure, lipids etc...stay around 10-15% bf at most.
Educate yourself...it will be worth it.
Set short and long term goals and stick to them, goals give you a purpose in life.
Create an emergency fund...

Fuck alot of chicks and when you marry stick to your vows...
travel to different countries and learn of their cultures and see the other side of things...
Know that you don't know everything and that you never will and continue to learn...You can finish school but you'll never stop learning...
Have some fucking integrity...
NEVER put pussy on a pedestal
Respect your elders...even if you disagree
Respect your wife and LISTEN to her...they talk in code and deciphering this takes years of experience.
Be your own person...fuck fads and "what's in or out"

Go into jobs knowing that is is almost certain you will not "retire" with that company, so picks jobs you at least like to begin with and use them to grow into something else.  And understand that company loyalty died in about 1970.


DO NOT put off a goal until "later in life"  The amount of time you will have for yourself gets shorter and shorter.  If you have the time now....do it.


Know that it is highly unlikely that ANY relationship you have with a woman is going to workout for the longterm.  Odds are against it.  Even if you think she's "the one."

Make as much money as possible
Figure physically your best years are 21 to 35 or so (under 45).  If you are athletic then do something you love and can make money at it.
Invest in real estate when you can and as often as you can.  By small income property first (duplex, triplex) then go up from there (small apartment, large apartment, office building, strip mall, hospital building etc.)  Maing sure you have solid long term tenants prior to purchase.  Check to see what the length of time each tenant has been there.  VERY IMPORTANT
Travel as much as possible
Take photos and video of things you have done (OI promise you will want them)
Eat good and train.  
Stay physical.
Do not smoke ever or drink alcohol excessively or do hard drugs
Drink Milk
Less beef and more chicken and fish

Probably more but busy right now.  All the above is soemthing I did mostly.  Some if it I didn't do because I decided to take my money and have fun and not invest like I was told my parents and uncle.  Becuase of that I am still working instead of being retired at 40 like my original plan was.  Now it is 55 and I am on track.  The past 12 years has been unproductive financiallyh and physcially.  I did not plan on it.  I was under the impression nothing could happen to me like everyone else thought and that my money would always be rolling in.  Well that was not the case and now I am paying for it.  That is why do what you can do when you can do it at a young age cause you never know when it will all be taken away.  If you don't do it young then when you are older your life will be shit.  You guys always rag me on living in the past.  Well let me tell you that it is my past that has made it so I can live through the past 10+ years.  It is my past that people I do business with look at and see exactly what I can do and what I have done.
