For deicide, it was probably during training.
Wow! U dudes that are overhead pressing 135 for 20 reps or so are pretty strong MOFO's either that, or I'm just pathetically weak...
standing is easier
Maybe if you use your legs to cheat it up. Standing with good form is much harder.
As many as I want.
So none then?
Are we talking dumbells or straight bar

Stark, what is the 5/3/1 principle?
30 .. More maybe
eh?No it isn't - and I only use the legs to get it up over my head.Sitting stricly with the back to the bench is of course harder - you don't need to be a Nazi rocket scientists to figure that out.
So basically you can't do even one rep standing without using your legs to get the weight up, which is my whole point. I guess Christian Thibaudeau doesn't know what he talking about either:http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance/the_shoulder_training_bibleBut I'm sure your shoulders dwarf his Most people can do more weight seated than standing because the bench stabilizes you by giving you something to press your back/legs against, which directs more of your effort to pressing the weight up rather than balancing yourself. If standing is easier then your form sucks imo. Surely others can chime in on this?
