well broski, i'm slowly working on my collection.  won't be touring internationally ever, but i like to fuck around in the basement in between hitting poses.

anyways,
since i have to slowly ween the old lady onto the gear, here's the master plan:
amp wise, get all the 5 watt amps.  so, i have a champ 600 now (yes i know, tone monster  ::) ) but it's still a fender clean.  next up, i'll get the marshall class 5, then the ac4.

then of course, i'll get a princeton reverb, ac 15, etc.

eventually, the goal is a blackface showman, jtm45, and ac30  ;D.  you can still find hand wired ac30's for around 1200.

but you know, i'm just a jerkoff hobbyist, so i'm in no hurry to get any of it.  i just like to look at it , then when i see a music video on palladia or something, i can yell "oh i have one of those".

you should also check out the 18watt marshall blues breaker.  Those are sweet ass amps.

I love low wattage amps. something that people don't understand is that wattage doesn't equal volume.  a 5 watt amp is half as loud as a 50 watt amp played thru the same speaker.  the difference is where the breakup/distortion point is.

The tweed champs are my fav low watters.  That's what Clapton used on the recording of Layla.

If you want to hear some princeton reverb porn, check out this video,
Ryan Adams running a Princeton and going out to a 2x12 vibroking extension cab.  I got to check it out up close (i'm pals with his pedal steel player jon graboff) and its loud as fuck, and sounds like every vintage recording you've ever heard!  He changed the stock speaker in the PR for a 12" (not sure what speaker, but pretty sure its the same as his ext cab), and in his extension cab he runs those tone tubby speakers with the hemp cones.

you have $1500 dollars to spend for your hobby.

someone gives you $1500 in cash, all bills are paid for, etc.  the only stipulation is you have to spend it on yourself.

what do you get?

here's my answer:

Most of you assholes that buy these nice guitars can't even play for shit.

they way women are anatomically laid out, you cant see anything if they are standing up facing you with their legs together

"nude" means legs spread, showing some lip

His doesn't buzz.  You must be playing some of those new Gibby's huh?  They don't build em like they used to in Nashville.  I would go for a used Gibby or a Heritage if that's your bag.

You can score a decent LP Jr for about 500 on ebay and craigslist these days.

I always preferred the 60's slim necks to the 50's style baseball bat necks.  I used to have a Norlin era Studio that I loved.  This will sound crazy but it was the best gibson I ever played.

Get a guitar with an ebony fretboard!

Yes ebony is the way to go IMO.  Some guys say ebony boards play "too fast."  These are guys who have no chops.
