how would he have done that?
LOL certainty...

mccain = no health care plan, no stalling on bush tax cuts, no talk of cap/trade

which translates into stability of factors that businesses use to make decisions. Obama has undoubtedly done more to cause instability in the business realm than he has to stabilize.

if you feel different then please lay out your argument...

you think mccain would have done half of the stuff obama would have done?

if obama had simply sat on his hands and done nothing the economy would be better off than it is now...

if you disagree or feel obama has done more to help the economy than to hurt it please do tell

how would no health care plan or no "talk" of cap and trade have improved the economy

the bush tax cuts are moot because they've been in effect the entire time

tell me exactly how the first two things would have improved the economy and exactly what those improvements would be

Both Republicans and the CBO say that the stimulus package helped the economy

why don't you ask them

LMAO for someone in finance you sure have a funny understanding of basic business principles...

the lack of health care and cap and trade is what would have helped the economy...you disagree that the health care bill has injected an enormous amount of uncertainty into businesses? you think talking about passing cap and trade has helped to stabilize the possible expenses to businesses?

bush tax cuts are certainly not moot, by not extending them and playing with letting them expire you AGAIN inject uncertainty into the businesses...

many businesses dont know what their health costs will be b/c of this pos bill, many companies are worried about energy costs due to possible cap and trade

do you go out and spend money when you dont know what your expenses will be?

why do you and obama expect businesses to do so?

LOL youre right 1.5 to 3 million jobs or something like that spending 800 billion dollars?

hahahahahahha only an obamabot would consider that successful...

the little that the stimulus bill did in the short run pales in comparison to the harm obama has done with other actions...

the lack of healt care legislation and "talk" of cap and trade policy would have created job....how?

bush tax cuts are moot because we've had them for the last 7 years (ten if you want to start counting from 2001), we have them now and it seems we'll have them for the next 2 years

lets hear some specific details of how this works

I was talking about john edwards, I should have been more clear about that.

The thread is about Elizabeth.  Either you are lying and making excuses for your statement after having it shoved down your pathetic little throat or once again you have shown to have the worst case of ADHD in existence because you can't remember what the thread is about.

Either case, you = FAIL ONCE AGAIN.

oh goodness really ???

ok so businesses like to plannnnnnnnn things, who knew right?  ::)

if they dont know what their health care costs will be as many expect them to go up b/c of the bs health care bill or they dont know what their energy costs will be b/c of a possible passing of cap and trade. It makes those PLANNNNNNNS that we just talked about much much harder to make.

BECAUSE they dont know how much they will have to spend on such thing, if for example they dont know whether their health care costs will be 1 million or 2 million dollars a year how do you expect them to make plans? take on new projects?

hire new employees more importantly? when they are unsure of exaclty how much they will have to pay for said employee?

the diddling of bush tax cust is whats important here straw, they could have been extended a year ago, 2 years ago in order to assure businesses of what there tax liabilities will be instead obama chose to chase agenda yet again and play with letting them expire....again how are businesses supposed to plan when they do not know what their tax liabilities will be?

if you disagree i expect specifics as welll.... ;)

Westboro Church Members to Protest at Elizabeth Edwards' Funeral
 Source: WRAL News in Raleigh

The Westboro Baptist Church plans to protest for 45 minutes before the funeral set for 1 p.m. at Edenton Street United Methodist Church in downtown Raleigh, according to the church's website.

The Westboro church website throws invective at Edwards but gives no specific reason why they chose to protest her funeral.

The Topeka, Kansas, church is well known for holding anti-homosexual protests at funerals, often at those of soldiers. The church, which is not affiliated with any larger Baptist group, is led by Fred Phelps and mostly attended by his family members.

Edwards, 61, died Tuesday at her Chapel Hill home after a six-year battle with breast cancer.

uncertainty in all things mentioned...

do you think employers had any "certainty" about healthcare cost prior to the healthcare legislation?
Rates could go up at will, terms could be changed at will, care could be denied at will.

Regarding taxes.  do you really believe a 3% increase in the marginal tax rate is such a game changer than no business could do anything until they knew what would happen with it?  I think it's a bogus argument but now that they have certainty (at least for the next couple of years) what do you think their excuse will be for not creating jobs.

btw - uncertainty is a part of business and a part of life.   Do you know what gas will cost next year or food or anything else for that matter?
