just started training DC a few weeks ago.  So far I really enjoy the workouts. Im going based off the old cycles for pennies article as a natural. Ill get back to you in a month with my progress/effectiveness.

i like it if its done correctly. fully warm up. lift super heavy with decent form for a few sets untill you lose strength. cut the weight and pump the muscle 1 or 2 sets. stretch out. done. hit the muscle again in 2 to 4 days.

walking around with a pen and notebook is gay and a pain in the ass.  But, try it, see if it works for you.

      Actually recording all of your lifts to ensure you are making progress over the long term is a great idea no matter what program you follow.

I dont know.  If you need a log to "make sure" you are progressing then.......  you will remember the big stuff, like "hey I squatted 355 for 3  2 years ago."  or "I DB incline pressed the 110's for 5 last summer."  That stuff.  but the the curls, the calf raises, and whatever, what does it matter?  Maximum intensity in minimal time.  You understand.  Anyway , my experience with DC was this:  It would be best if you have a training partner to go through it together, cuz you're going to total failure, and a spotter would help.
