It's an apt comparison. Certainly much better than gay marriage=staring at women peeing. Besides it wasn't even meant to be a comparison, you asked how many times do people I know golf in a year. He may not have to deal with situations as grave as Obama does, but he has to deal with things that are important to the business and his work days are often 12hours+ and golfing is how he chooses to relax. Doesn't mean he's slacking in other areas. lol youre sadly misunderstanding the other thread if you believe im comparing gay marriage to women peeing I agree he is busy and makes important decisions, NOT NEARLY as busy and as important decisions as the president. so you know one person that plays golf? lol ask the others bro and youll see

Just Warm Enough for Golf, Obama Back on the Course (Can You Believe This Loser?) ABC NEWS ^ | 3/12/2011
ABC News' Tahman Bradley reports:
President Obama just could not wait for spring weather to arrive.
For the second week in a row, the most powerful man in the world stepped away from the White House to hit the golf course.
Even as his administration and the U.S. military help Japan recover from a devastating earthquake, and as the world worries about Fukushima's nuclear reactor, the president could not resist taking advantage of the 48-degree weather in the Washington, D.C., area.
The president left the White House Saturday afternoon for a short trip to Joint Andrews Base in Camp Springs, Md.
With cloudy skies, it's not the best weather for golf, but Obama loves to spend his Saturdays on the greens. Last fall, Obama went golfing darn near every weekend.
These are never quick "work on your swing" trips; usually the president plays 18 holes, as he did last week.

And if he worked 18+ hours per day, we'd hear nonstop about how the man isn't taking care of himself and is putting the nation at risk by working under such mental distress.
I ask you to tell us how many hours per week the man with the most powerful job on the planet should be able to catch his breath.
Then I ask you to tell us how he should spend that refresh time.
You wouldn't be happy if he was working 5:30 AM until 11 pm every day on the problems of the world - you'd call him irresponsible for not recharging mental abilities - no human makes good decisions working that much.
We'll move this to "you are going to complain no matter what, 33" category.

Interesting. I remember a certain person criticizing Bush's vacations and the various other things he did instead of working. But you, a hypocrite? Why, I'd never!

240 - there is a time and place for everything. Obama will have decades to indulge in golf, kobe beef dinners, lobster tail, caviar, fine wine, leisure, and partying after he is out of office.

bro 50+ rounds of golf in 2 years is pretty excessive especially for someone who should be as busy as a president is...
I worked at a golf course for a couple years, got free greens fee and cart whenever i wanted and probably didnt play 25+ rounds a year
I know it doesnt sound like much but if you play golf and arent a competitive golfer thats actually a good amount of golfing
I wish i could play golf every other weekend
Are you kidding me? I get that much golf in on Fridays just in the spring / summer / early fall at the Chester. Dude... That's once a week every other week... Are you seriously saying that 50 rounds of golf is excessive in 2 years?

Seems pretty excessive for a guy holding the most important job on the planet. Especially when you factor in all the parties, ball games, galas and so on. There are private sector workers who put in more hours than Obama.

Perhaps, but being POTUS is a 24/7 job right? Can someone really put in "more hours" than someone who is doing his job all day and all night?

You really seem unrealistically angry about Obama... I think he's fucked up some stuff too, but this sounds a lot like those crazy "Bush is Hitler" people you had running around.

TU - do you realize that in two years - bama has not even met eith most of his cabinet secretaries? He did not call mcconnell for 18 months, and that daley was brought in because the cabinet secretaries are all pissed off?
The senate dems say he is awol and does not lead or do a damn thing on anything either.

I don't think he does this job 24/7 and it shows.

I can't say that personally... I work tons of hours, still get my golf in. I'm sure he has to make a lot more decisions in a day than I do generally.

Bush was slapping fannies on Olympic volleyballers and falling in the stands buzzed while Russia was stomping faces on curbs in Georgia.
And that was fine - his apparatus was doing their job to influence things as much as possible (and there wasn't much we could do there).
Same case here. The man plays a game of golf and everyone freaks. You say he shouldn't be involved in no-fly bombing, and he's not. you'll never be happy. period.
