  I don't think there's any evidence that hyperplasia occurs after maturity has been reached. IGF-1(somatostatin C) seems to induce hyperplasia in rats and other rodents, but no evidence there is on Humans.

I think its safe to say that there is something hgh does that steroids do not. Gh and steroids produce a very distinct look.
