"making progresses" at some point becomes irrevelant. If it doesnt, it means you have nothing else in life, no wife, no kids, no meaningful relationships with someone. Most people at some point after like 10 or 15 years of lifting just do it to produce dopamine and serotonin regularly and are addicted to it. To show off, because it makes you feel better to be desired and that your wife/gf enjoys fucking a good looking dude knowing well her mother/female friends dont have such a good looking guy to fuck.

You need various sources of satisfaction in your life. Relationships with coleagues, friends, family, couple, kids, sport, intelectual activity, sex, some artistical way to express yourself, etc

Wether you re a bilionaire or the average joe if u have it all together then you have the recipe to produce serotonin constantly enough to feel happy.
