This year's contest sucked, too much bullshit, props, and gimmicks. The "D" league dunk contest on friday night was much better. A 6'3" and a 5'10" guy in the finals, that's real athleticism. Not some 7 footer who can walk up to the rim and touch it without leaving the ground.

It seems that the dunk contest now has become one for the rookies or those in the league for 2-3 yrs. And usually, they don't make a dent anywhere else, A la Blake Griffin.

james white, never quite made the pros he was in the nba's d-league for a while but as far as i know never got signed on by a team. his dunking skills blow away any nba player's though, he would have put the other contestants to shame

what the fuck you guys talking about. if the dunk contest is that boring, why don't you Morons put on your shoes and compete with those guys. this was one of the best Dunk contest ever with a lot of fresh Ideas.......the kid who leapt from the free throw line could have won the whole thing, but dunking over a car had Blake in the lead.......the dunking contest is what everyone always looking for and this year was Good
