Indeed. Jane Russell was a serious sex symbol back in the day. She MORE than held her own in those movies with Marilyn Monroe.

That's because Jane had more substance, whereas Marilyn was more fluff...beyond the exterior she was a woman-child, and it showed.

Marilyn was actually quite a good actress...underrated historically in that regard.

Only when she got the good roles...but, she was a notorious casting couch-whore...one too many producers liked playing with her tits...

Also, she kept a journal when she used to talk to the Kennedy brothers, she became increasing interested in politics...odd how her journals were absent after she died...

It's like the peak was around the middle of the century and declined at an even pace. Hopefully we are now bouncing off rock bottom, for shurely you cannot go lower than Bieber?

Patricia Neal never got over Gary. Love of her life. Almost met her at Sardi's a few years ago, but she no-showed. I woulda been stumblin' and mumblin' like an idiot.

;D kinda, I can keep with old heads on here...I actually was rehashing a old thread of mine.

And Paul Newman is the shit!

Question, does anyone think that Clooney or Pitt will get the same respect from the youngster and younger actors like Newman did?

I think Brad Pitt is one of the last real "Movie Stars" we had. The guy has the presence and charisma of days gone by and can carry a big, epic movie.

Clooney I think is up there too....but he tries to hard to convey that " ring a ding ding" swagger of the rat pack. I still remember him from all those shitty sitcoms he was in back in the early 80s when he was always playing the affable guy next door.

You are an odd duck P......the only black dude I know who is fascinated by black porn stars with big cocks.....that's normally white guy territory  ;D

Clooney was good in The American, and I agree with you about Pitt

Actually, I remember tons of shit-- it doesn't phase me to talk about Porn (I know more about the chicks), strippers, pimps, Domestic Violence, and then talk about philosophy, flora and fauna, and exotic cars. I cross the gammit...that's why I can talk to a homeless dude about breeding Boston Terriers and Morgans (yep, I have done this), or a stripper about drugs, and her abusive boyfriend...

That's cool....I can converse on a wide gamut of subjects as well.  :D

What do you think of that chick from "mad men" with the big tits?

She's got that old school quality about her IMO.

Yeah, she is great, and yes, has that old school vibe to her, few women today have that about them. Mad Men is great show as well.
One underrated actress is is Renee Zellweger (sp), saw her in Case 39, she was great in that movie.
