back injury and p90X
« on: June 02, 2011, 04:39:36 PM »
I hurt my lower back doing bent over dumbbell  rows earlier this week (Monday)I have back and leg training tomorrow for p90x.It is mostly just going from different forms of pull ups(wide, close grip, switch grip, etc)to lunges no weighted squats or dead lifts.

my back only really starts hurting after I sit down for long periods of time,my question is if I keep it moderate and only do exercises that don't strain my back is it OK to do the workout?

Warm up really well.  If you're doing P90X, they do an adequate warm-up.  Foam rolling might be helpful.
What you have planned should be ok.

well thanks for the advice Princess ,it ended up turning ugly on me and got worse until it shut me down completely and I couldn't get up for couple of days.
I am mobile now but still cant train because it still hasn't healed all the way yet, which really sucks because I only had a week left and I was done.
Do you think a chiropractor could help if it is just a muscle strain or pull?
