A small family in my church recently relocated from Egypt to South Texas due to severe persecution from local Islamic leadership.  This is a small family....husband, wife and small children that converted from Islam to Christianity.  The husband owned a small, successful business in their area of Egypt.  In recent months he was randomly visited by local Muslim representatives (in either his home or business in Egypt....don't recall which) that made it quite clear that if he converted from Christianity to Islam that they would ensure his business would grow substantially; although, if he chose to remain a Christian that they would ensure his business would be ruined and the lives of his wife and children would be forfeit.   By the grace of God they were able to safely relocate and are free of their previous persecution, but not without hardship along the way.   We were informed that others Christians were also given similar threats by the Islamic leadership; essentially, "convert or die".

Makes these online discussions seem rather trivial now.

Now do I think for one minute that our Muslim brothers on Getbig share this mentality?  Absolutely not.

Unfortunately, others do prescribe to these types of practices and that's the difficulty.  Much like the KKK or skinheads adopting the title "Christian" when clearly they don't represent Christ or Christianity in anyway whatsoever.

Still, there are no scriptural tenets justifying such behavior within Christianity despite KKK members referring to themselves as "Christians".  You can even reference the crusades which had nothing to do with representing Christ despite the justification for their behavior being "in the name of God".  The crusaders, KKK and skinheads (even some nazis LOL) simply invented justfication their murderous acts by stating they were committed "in the name of God" when clearly they had nothing to do with Christ or biblical scripture.

The problem with that situation is that Muhammad (pbuh) and even the caliphates that followed all ensured that those who are christians and jews that they would not be harmed and that their livelihood, worship, families, business etc... would be protected by the Muslims.

There is of course no caliphate today, and every moe and sam of the middle-east does what their village says.

The problem is lack of education on both sides. Non-muslims and even muslims who lack knowledge of Islam.

You can't become Muslims by forced submission of a human being as by very definition Islam is submission to no creation but to God almighty alone.

There's plenty of examples of poorly practicing Muslims who do things that are forbidden in islam. Be it alcohol, be it bribery, etc...

One of the poor impressions of Muslims while leaving Africa my family experienced was a guy not letting us on the plane to Canada and asking for a bribe. My father saw a woman with hijab nearby working and that was the lasting impression my family had of Muslims. Ironically today my mother wears hijab and my whole family became Muslim Smiley

Bribery is forbidden in islam btw but is very common in certain arab countries.

There is a lot of turmoil in arab countries at the moment as Muslims have been oppressed for decades by tyranical secular dictatorships. Unfortnuately do to meddling by western forces (political, military, etc...) certain christians groups were working in coercsion with the american and other western governments, as such there is a backlash against certain christian groups. Most unfortunate but it is a complicated political situation.

For instance as Christians at the time we would go to church, we were clearly not muslims by appearance or by common race but everything was good, in the last decade+ there has been more political turmoil instilled by the west and as such... amongst the ignorant but very upset and angry masses there is emotional whiplash.

And don't think for a second all the Christian arabs are all nice and sweet, I had tons of Arab Christian friends. Don't think for a second all of them are innocent and just a victim of select muslim anger/ignorance.

For instance just as there are clowns on here who promote hatred of islam there are arab christians who do the same. Just take as an example that recent 'film' which attacked Muhammad (pbuh) with various lies, homosexual porn, etc... They are viscous.

Unfortunately innoscent christians get backlash due to certain idiot's actions and cooperation with the west political death machine.

Lol. So predictable.

And? What did you expect? That Islam actually endorses oppression of Christians?

It doesn't, and it seems like you hate the fact that Islam does not endorse oppression but actually endorses protection. You seem to rejoice at the suffering of others and enjoin in ignorance.

Maybe you should tell them that Islam doesn't promote violence. We all think it does, I'm sure this family thinks it does, and most of the world thinks it does. You seem to be the only one who says it doesn't lol.

Third party perspective... look it up.

Yes it doesn't. Because who's word will you take for the truth? Allah's and prophet Muhammad (pbuh)'s word or what some village idiots do?

Lets try to simplify the facts.

Lets say "Religion A" advocates protection of a people, but the follower of "Religion A" is doing the opposite of what the "Religion A" commands, does that mean what "Religion A follower" is doing on his own accord is from "Religion A" just because?

So if you say you are doing necrophilia in the name of Christianity. Does that mean this is a part of Christianity? You can say what you want, but it does not make it a part of Christianity.

I don't think you can get through to this guy Thick Nick, some people like him just don't have the reasoning skills to understand what you're saying even though you have repeatedly explained it in simple terms.  Either that or he's just trolling and trying to get under your skin.

If 100 million Christians are engaging in necrophilia and making YouTube videos saying... I DO THIS IN THE NAME OF CHRISTIANITY... then fucking yes. We are not talking about 1 crazy Muslims we are talking 90% with 10% like you defending them. Understand now? Not one person.... ALOT OF THEM. Then yes!!!!!

Even if 100 million Christians do something not a part of Christianity it still does NOT make it a part of Christianity. You're a brain dead hateroid with a desperate losing cause. Go suck on your thumb that will pacify you.

They dont want to stop them from doing it becoz they endorse it. Who starts all the chaos? The mosque  clerics . Who organizers all the riots? Achmutt prefers to look theo other way whenever muslims are involved. In any country where muslims arent the majority they are the most despised religion. Achmutts. Knowldege comes from his narrowed and biased understanding. He himself acknoledged that he has no first hand experience about half the stuff he babbles about.

Typical muslim shut in leeching off a western country and hating the hand that feeds him.

Even worse westernerphobic meltdown

How are they leeching from the west? When they show up with their 40 thieves and live off govt welfare without working. Britain is full of muslims who leech off govt welfare to pay for their families in their own countries. Belgium is another country where muslims extort money from shopowners in addition to claiming welfare checks. So much for intergration.

Im not from belgium and never heard of it, but i hardly think that even if it was true, that a criminal activity is what we call "leeching"
