I support "BIG ANVIL"s theory. I also believe that Evan Centopani's muscle receptors all have little ear pieces and they communicate with each other via walkie-talkies during gym sessions. When they see Evan doing free weights they give Evan's brain the go ahead signal to "hold on to the mass". In Phil's case it's the opposite. Apparently by doing machines, muscle receptors have a "secret code of honor" amongst themselves so they sabotage the person by telling the brain to "let it go".

It has nothing to do with the drugs they take.

A physique built on years of freeweights will hold more quality muscle over time than a weakling physique built on machines and drugs.

its sad phil heath gets rewarded for his drug abuse, someone should hand him the number of a psychiatrist instead of the number of the drugs dealer

Dude all im saying is regardless of the drugs, a physique built on years or freeweights will hold more quality muscle over time than a weakling physique built on machines and drugs.

Its all about bone strength.  Phil Heaths muscle built by machines and oil can't possibly have the bone strength by someone who built their body with decades of free weights. When his organs go and he's lucky enough to survive, he will look like Flex Wheeler's little brother who is 150 pounds and still pumping oil into his arms as he signs autograph's at bbuilding shows.

The use of massive amounts of oil has officially Jumped the Shark. Phil Heath is a guy who can put 4 inches on his arms in 6 months but not be marked down for it come contest time. How is that right/or good for the "sport"

Dude "massive amounts of oil" can't give you forearms like his...and his arms are not that big, never were, it's the detail of his tris that give him that "fullness".

Him and Branch will place top 4 at the next 'O. Jay's almost going to look aesthetic compared to those two ugly dwarves. With Kai heading for another disaster and Wolf's lazy work ethic, sounds like the 'O is gonna be shittier than ever.

WTF? Regardless of drugs and then you mention 'drugs'?

Seriously though, resistance is resistance. Do you think muscle has a mind and knows the difference between the stress provided by a free weight and a machine? Absolutely not. I think what matters the most is heavy resistance vs just pumping with 'lighter' weights that will permit someone to hold on to the muscle or not.

And make no mistake that a physique built on massive doses of drugs will lose plenty of that muscle once off regardless of whether it used free weights or machines.

His narrow torso also helps his arms stand out.

woops, fixed. Im basically saying a guy whos done years of deadlifts, squats and bench presses will hold muscle longer than a guy whos worked out for half as long always used machines and relied mostly on drugs. Ive seen lots of former weightlifters who seem to always keep the thick barrel chest and wide shoulders even into their older years, while the drug reliant bodybuilder shrinks right back down to where they started when they go off like they never even touched a weight in their life. Your right though, if you've always relied on drugs whether you use machines or freeweights the muscle isnt there to stay when you go off.

Give him Vic martinez' clavicles and Phil wins 5 Sandows.

Still, he's the shawn ray of this generation and will always be one of the 20 best Bbers ever.

I can't tell if you're serious here.

Looks like we're seeing a gh15 meltdown taking place. Phil is a genetic freak. You're an ignorant ass if you think someone can pump themselves full of gear and look like him. We've seen countless cats who think they could and never come close. 6 years ago you were saying the same thing before he stepped on stage at the NPC JR NATIONALS. Hate on cause he's one of the few dudes who has delivered on his "hype".

There were close to 1,700 people in attendance and if you watch the video you'll see the place had a great crowd. The NPC promoter in Salt Lake City is doing a good job of building things up and if you're in the area look up Steve http://www.npcutah.com

I cannot take credit MORTALCOCK. The funny belongs to Groink originally with my little twist. However I still laugh at his original version.
