Lets use the U.S. for obvious reasons.  For the sake of the book I finished today and the video game I'm about to play I'll use ideas from the book.  In the year 2015 Kim Jung son of Kim Jung ill is running north korea. (it doesn't deserve to be in CAPS ) North and South Korea reunite and Kim Jung un is looked at as a hero.  He earns the TIME Magazine Person of the year award.  Meanwhile the United states is fucked, unemployment is at and all time high because of the economy but also gas prices are now consistantly 18 dollar per gallon. The economy is because no more countries wanted to lend us money they wanted to cash the checks we gave them. So the U.S. had to pull out of key areas in the world. All of the Middle East, after North and South Korea reunited know as the United Korean's People Front they don't want the U.S. on their bases.  In 2018 the front invaded Japan gave them a bad beat down. They continued to occupy Japan and took our weapons and aircraft and learned them. In 2020 January 16th, multiple EMP hit the United States in all major metropolitan cities. You can't use any form of communication. this  24 hours after initial impact. In addition, days prior to this there were news reports of bombs in trains on subways in 7 major cities all seeming to coincide and the death toll was over 400 so far. You are yourself no superpower or any other bullshit.

What is your plan for the next 72 hours, week, month?  Lets put your location in Sacramento, California.

i think you're ass backwards.  most of the south and a big percentage of the midwest are likely armed to the teeth.  the cities on the coasts would be the shooting galleries.  the only people with guns are the criminals and they would be too busy looting.

My guess is that the people running our country would hand an AR-15 and 500 rounds of ammo to about 1 million violent prisoners.

They'd tell them they would get a 100% pardon if they bring back the left ear and dogtags (or whatever ID) from 5 of the NK invaders.
