I met and interviewed Serge a few weeks before he was put in a coma back in 2009. He was a really nice guy who seemed to genuineley love bodybuilding and was keen to get on stage and guest pose at the Arnold that year. Very sad to hear he has passed.
When I met him he seemed a robust and capable man for 73.

Agreed. Crazy cool physique. One of the coolest ever. Put him in a long sleeve shirt and you might not even realize he was a bodybuilder, much less a Mr. Universe winner.
