It is possible for women to have platonic relationships with straight men but it is damn near impossible for a straight guy to have a friendship with a woman he finds attractive.  Unless she is butt ugly, and why would he be friends with her if she was, or a relative( and in some cases you perverts would even go there) he is going to want to band her. A man wouldn't hang around otherwise.    Men and women can associated with each other but being friends is an entirely different things.

I think men and women can be friends .. but I also think there should be consideration given to anyone's SO pertaining to those friendships

If you're in a relationship then some concessions are not unreasonable ... if you find them unfair then you should figure out why you feel that way

I would have no problem NOT hanging out with male friends if my SO said he didn't like it .. and a true friend would understand that

where there's smoke

so if the friend or yourself get ticked off because it needs to be curbed there is something other to it than just friendship

I can see going out in a small group .. but one on one meetings for drinks is not something that is on my list of acceptable behaviors

 It's better to have a free relationship without too many boundaries at all. Just allow your partner to have friends of the opposite sex as much as they want. Even if they want to have sex with another person just for physical pleasure, let them do it, as long as it's purely physical.

 Free love is the best way. Everything else is unnatural.

Having friends is not a bad thing .. but when you are involved with someone it should be a mutual decision on what they entail

Open relationships aren't always happy ones ... and if you have satisfying sex with one person I don't see a reason to look elsewhere for "more"  ... there's no such thing as Free Love .. there is free sex available .. but love always has a price ..  unnatural is in perception .. what some see as normal others may not
