Even if the armor can resist frickin' missiles, the amount of damage caused by the bazooka to the internal engines and guiding systems will make the chopper go down. In Vietnam, helicopters were put down with AK-47s when the bullets hit critical spots on the helicopter. A chain is only as strong as it's weakest links, and a helicopter, any, has many weak links. that's what happens when you fly, dude. A tank, conversely, has very few weak links and is very hard to take out. That is why the Brazilian goverment used tanks and not helicopters to take the Complexo do Alemão, Rio's most dangerous favela.

Just an FYI: you're talking about huey's in the 60's, I'm talking about stealth attack helicopters that can pull 3.5g's

sure those slow ass huey's were getting shot down by fire from AK's because the tail rotor's and engine bay's were relatively unprotected, also in regards to your 'hand bazooka' claim, here are the ballistics for the RPG-7 (most commonly use bazooka around the world)

and I'm sure the reason the Brazilians went in with tanks instead of attack helicopters is because they most likely
