I can actually understand why some independents and Republicans were swayed by him. This was tough talk. Turned out to be horse manure. But it sounded good.
He said the Bush administration was "fiscally the most irresponsible administration we have ever seen"? In hindsight, that took some real chutzpah to say.
What happened to the "Google" bill? Transparency? Scrubbing bills of earmarks?
