Just your typical bar unloading exercise. Was doing squats was not focusing and speaking to my friend and took plates of only one side like a genius. Obviously thing went flying in the other direction smashing some stuff and leaving me looking like a dickhead.

Saw this happen 2 years ago at my gym with a couple of teenagers. Talking, not paying attention, all of sudden there's a bar cartwheeling through the air and straight through a glass door. Lucky nobody was in it's flight path.

Finished benching 285, not paying attention I slid the 45 off and the 25 hit me on the foot. I went straight home in pain.

I was doing dumbell presses. I was using those shitty pin-lock style dumbells.

I did a few reps, then on about the 5th rep when I pushed up the dumbells the pin got tapped and it come open, a bunch of ten and 5 pound plates dropped right into my face.

Luckily it just scratched me and gave me a black eye because it hit me in the cheek, lucky it didn't break any bones. If it would have hit me right in the teeth it would have knocked my teeth out for sure.

I guess that's why I never see those pin-lock style dumbells anymore. They are a disaster waiting to happen.

Dropped 45lbs on my big toe once, jumped around the gym on one foot like a retard to deal with the pain yelling "aaaaahhh fitte!! faen helvete" and then continued my workout.

"Big" Xerxes is a hardcore mother fucker.

You all wouldn't wanna share a jail cell with this guy. He'll rape you silly and do skullcrushers while tearing apart your rectum. Nothing stops him from getting his swolez.

Yesterday a trainer took me apart, and told me he received complaints from some gym members about my "scent" (I sweat like a horny vagina these days).
I consider this as a serious accident, LOL

Story similar to Xerces...

in 2002 was loading the leg press, wasnt paying attention and let go of one thinking it was on the sled...well it wasnt and 45lbs fell STRAIGHT DOWN perfectly perpendicular to the ground, from chest-height and landed square on my big toe....the pain was insane but i gave it time and continued a full leg training...it wasnt till i got to my calves at the end of the workout, that i felt an unusual warmth in my shoe...took of the shoe and my white sock was half red...hospital time, hairline fracture in my toe and eventually lost my nail... was a bitch of all bitches...

I don't mean the usual injuries but things like this...

[ Invalid YouTube link ]

Broke my foot, dropped a bench on it that I was moving.

Only injury

I have the habit of hitting my head when warming up for presses.
Fell backwards a few times when squatting(shit technique).

Once a kid was benching, and he had a spotter but for some reason he lost control of the bar while trying to bench it, the weights fell off the side and the bar cartwheeled into the other benches!
Luckily they weren't being used!

Another time some kids were unloading all the weights from one side of the bar on the squat rack causing the weights to fall on the bench I was using a few minutes earlier! As the bar flew over into some other machines on the other side.

I got stuck benching a few months ago....

Whats embarassing though, it wasn't with 315....  It was a measly 185!!!!

But in my defense it was my 9th set, and after doing like 25 reps!  So I was totally beat!

Needed someone to come help me, I felt like a total pussy!

Push press into chin while maxing.  Felt like I got punched in the face.

Chin up bar hanging from chains broke on one side and the bar slammed into the side of my face.

Got stuck under a home weight set while benching and the bar fell in my mouth.

Separated shoulder bench pressing to the neck on the most worthless machine out there - smith machine.  Live and learn.

LOL, I have had a lat bar break and smash me in the face a couple times.
You feel like a real idiot when it happens in a full gym, trust me.

A fellow at our gym was doing open handed bench press, evidently the bar slid off his hands and onto his neck.  A bit later in his workout, he began to have trouble breathing, ended up being he had crushed his larynx and ended up dying from the injury.

Last week i kicked dumbells up to shoulderpress them and when i leaned back on the seat it gave way. I fell backwards almost dislocating my left shoulder, mother fucking gym with fucking equipement failure. It was only 24kg dumbells but it hurt like hell and had to work around the pain the whole training.

I wish i lived in America, could probably act mentally traumatized and sue the shit out of my overpriced gym.

Every once in awhile there might be only me and one or two other guys in the free weight area.  Sometimes it's clear the weight is too much for the guy to handle or they try to squeeze out one more rep, but I do nothing  :-\  So far they've been able to get out of the situation and I've pretended not to notice.

They try to impress you. You should encourage them to use more weight.

I wasn't aware so many gyms had video cameras.  Makes sense for liability suits.

Went to an old hardcore gym a long time ago, next to an Indian food market.  Took my gf at the time who was in the front on one of the two cardio machines.  Was going about my business and heard a crash... Finished my set knowing that she fell off the stair master and broke a mirror.

Get to the front, and I'll be damned if my girl isn't pale as a ghost.  Then I realized an old Indian woman had driven through the front of the gym wall/windows.
