Bodybuilding has definitely lost its way, I dunno what it is really, but it seems drug use keeps on increasing and physiques are becoming more outrageous, and I dunno much about prize money, is it increasing or decreasing?
The fact that the majority of pro bodybuilders have second jobs and many do porn or g 4 p, says something.
I know drugs are present in every sport but other sports don't have their athletes reasoning around looking like aliens....
I love bodybuilding but something is off!
The sport was owned by schmoes, the weiders. Bodybuilding has always been supported by homosexual men, and now that the drugs have taken over, the maintstream (you may read that as "straight" crowd) has left the building. The only people into the sport are gays and gym rats, and long time fans (to a lesser extent).
How many new fans you think bbing has taken in in the last 2-3 years? Couple hundred? In contract to several thousand who have turned their back on it?
Let's face it, bodybuilding has been dying a slow death since Arnold left. Plain and simple. Without Arnold, bbing is finished.
Unless we get a new Arnold, but who knows if/when that will happen...
