It's a combination of constant training, conditioning, technique, reflexes, speed and power.

And strength from fighter-specific training, like punching the bag etc.

He has speed and strength. And ofcourse technique. You don't have to look like a puffed up bodybuilder to be strong. See 6:28 in this clip;


And he's not that small. 6'4 and 270 lbs.

Also his brother Fedor looks even more like a slob and he was the best in the world in mma for a long time.

Rene Rooze wasn't just tall, he had decent sized legs as well, compare with Jon "DUI" Jones chickenlegs for example.

SMH....zero head movement. Statue in the ring. Nice hands but like most pure mma guys lack boxing stamina..punch work rate too much for them in the ring and then it's all downhill.
