Did you miss this post where I outlined that I was reffering to the 66 pics.

I guess I should have known better than to get into it with 'ND' discusing the love of his life 'Anrie'  ::)

Nope just the part where you typed ' never '  ;) not my fault you can't compose a sentence.

Well, on September 24, 1966 at the Victoria Palace he did! I can't spell his last name, but I think his first name was Arnold.  ;D

Great natural physique!

If we are to go by the standards of the day, which  I believe should still be adhered to, they were proportionate.

Neck, calves and arms were to measure the same.  Arnold's arms were 22 1/2", his calves were 20 1/2" but I am unaware of what his neck was said to measure.  Close.

Chest measurement and the sum measurement of both thighs were to be the same.  Arnold had a chest measurement of 57" and thighs that each taped out at 28 1/2".

Arnold had a waistline not a wasteline such as current chumpions possess.

No - but that shows you know nothing about BB.. Deplete yourself of BF - remember percentages are worked in with whats covering your internal organs to here so 4-6% is actualy nearly or basicly nothing covering the muscle , then deplete your water levels right down - then take a look in the mirror and see how you look age wise - he is also oiled and under lights ..

This is why so many female BBs look better in the off season even the ones that dont abuse the fuck out of androgens - they still look aged by 10 -20 years..

Even then, a 19 year-old wouldn't look like a 38 year-old crack addict. Dieting down to 4% bodyfat and losing subcutaneous water does not make you look 30 years older. A little older, yes, but not decades older. I think this guy was on massive amounts of not only steroids but also amphetamines and cocaine.

I don't see it. But it's been said that Arnold's nephew, Patrick, looks just like his late father - Meinhard: Arnold's oldest late brother. Here he is...

Great pics as usual, Pollux! Haven't seen alot of those.

Arnold looks much more confident in the suit pics than he does on stage. He knew it was gonna be tough to beat Chet.

So, looking at his face, do you think he looks 19? Honest question. If so, then you are either delusional or need to schedule a visit to the opthalmologist pronto.

Yeah, I was thinkin' the same thing. He seems more confident in a suit than a posing suit!  ;D

Couple thoughts on these photos. Casey Viator is just a freak of muscle. Short guy short limbs, tons of thick massive muscle. The guy was one of the first freaks for sure, looked and was very powerful. The Mike Mentzer shot is awesome, at 19? Crazy shit right there, drugs or no drugs to get that look at 19 is unreal.
Now back to Arnold. There is a bullshit thread here from a few weeks ago stating that he was overrated as a bodybuilder. To date he still holds the record of the youngest Mr.Olympia ever!! He was a mere 23 years old when he won his first "O". By the time he retired he was only 28 years old, the age when most pros today are just getting recognized as a possibility. He was helping to judge and promote pro shows in his early 30's, while already a self made (yes with the guidance of Joe Weider) millionaire, author, TV and "B" movie actor. We all know where this story goes with his success, despite having a recent setback with his unfortunate behavior. I would say that there is not one bodybuilder who can lay claim to 1/2 the amount of influence and promotion Arnold has given to the sport. Before him it was vastly unheard of for people as a whole to go to the gym and get into shape. Sure you had the great Jack Lalaine  with his tireless efforts. Yet it was Arnold on the silver screen mowing down the bad guys and flashing his massive muscle that made young guys say...................holly fuck!. Soon every young guy was either buying weights or going to the YMCA. Then the gyms really started to take off in America, women where going as well.

I don't know about you guys. Arnold is quoted as saying that one of his goals was this.....he wanted guys to go to the gym wrap their paws around a barbell and think one thing..............ARNOLD!.  I'll be damned if that is not just what i was thinking as a teenager before I even knew he was quoted as saying this.
While Arnold is not the "end all answer to all" with the sport, there are many other greats to look up too, to state he was or is overrated? Please.
