Raging Bull Tombstone Platoon Heat Gran Torino
Way too many favorites......these just popped into my head, but 5 is way to small a list and 100 wouldn`t be big enough for me either.
I`ve seen a lot of friggin` movies in a lot of different decades.

Same here, Wes! I think I've seen every movie ever made (kinda) and have mostly enjoyed some of the foreign films that were made so differently than the typical Hollywood production.
It is going to be interesting to see how Hollywood handles the remake of The Girl Who Played With Fire.
While in Okinawa I saw the best movie of my lifetime, but I forget its name. It was a foreign film that was super-confusing that gradually begins to make sense and only at the end do you come to realize that it is a story about an insane person undergoing theraphy who eventually regains his sanity with the help of the psychiatrist.
Movies I should have like but did'nt include all The Lord of the Rings and the majority of the current super-hero flicks.
All of this is seen through that individual's eyes and it is was a real shocker at the end once the story becomes understandable.

Yeah Stunt I like some foreign films too, usually depends on the genre`,but I`ve sen a few that I thought I would hate but ended really liking it a lot. One of my favorite Genre`s is old film noir flicks like : White Heat Casablanca Sunset Boulevard Detour The Asphault Jungle etc. etc. Also a huge horror and 1950`s sci-fi fanatic. I like a lot of different stuff, but like you I wasn`t really thrilled with the Lord of The Rings trilogy..........just OK and if I never saw it I wouldn`t be any worse off that`s for sure.

Almost forgot predator. That is one of the best movies ever. If your ever feeling shitty and you need a nice boost of testerone forward it to the part where he covers himself in mud and challenges the predator with the barbarian sceam. Fucking awesome.

A few sci-fi flix.... 1) The Abyss 2) E.T. (must confess it still brings tears to my eyes at the end, even being 35 y.o. ) 3) John Carpenter's The Thing 4) 2010 (The year we make contact) 5) Independence Day 6) Aliens (I & II) 7) The Day After 8 ) Blade Runner 9) Tron (I, of course) 10) Close encounters of the third kind
