Marriage as far as tax benefits or just being married?
Im all for them having the same benefits which is why I support civil unions for all. The idea of marriage from a govt stand point is that it promotes beneficial results. Obviously offspring from a two parent well functioning house is better than a single parent house for the most part. So its to encourage things like that as well as others.
However if you argue that gays should have the right to marry b/c they are born that way, do you also support bisexuals being able to marry one of each sex since they are born that way?
What do you when roomates of the same sex live together for enough time that they could be considered married under common law?
lots of bs to accomadate an abnormal behaviour if you ask me...
