There is no such thing as government stimulating the economy. They can only act to hinder the economy through laws, regulations, debt, & taxes.
that's complete nonsense
Exactly. Straw rattles off crap in his posts but is all absolute garbage because it's all based on the fundamentally flawed idea that government can create jobs and make it all better by throwing money at the problem. The idiot can seem to wrap his itty bitty mind around the fact that Obama's presidency has applied that type of reasoning and has failed.
those are all facts and if you believe the government cannot stimulate the private sector then you're utterly clueless about basic macroeconomics....which is par for the course for most of tea baggers on this board
Straw - show me one historical example in the USA where spending more money like you advocate ever resulted in a lower debt, unemployment number, and overall prospertiy for the nation.
If we decided to build a couple of new carriers, thousands of workers would be hired for the shipyards. Thousands of employees would be hired for the steel mills that would provide the steel for the hull and various sub contractors would hire thousands. Do you know what that means? It means they would receive paychecks and go out and spend that money. That would help a recovery. That is a shovel ready project!Increasing spending for the military does a couple of things. It not only not only stimulates the economy, it protects our nation.
The best stimulus is thwe govt going away and getting off the backs of business and taxpayers. Face it - your entire Kenyanomics dream of spending into oblivion has failed.
what's Kenyanonimcs ?
Well Obama is not following Keynsian economics because Keynes advocated not raising taxes in a recession and cutting back when times were good, so what Obama is pursuing, and what you support by virtue of your support of obama - must be something else - perhaps Kenyanomics?
what else did Keynes recommend during a recession?
I know what he advocated, but that is not what obama and your heroes did. take ownership for their failure Straw.
if you actually know what he advocated then why don't you tell usbtw - what heros are you talking aboutwhy do project such nonsense on otherswhy can't you ever have normal conversation ?
Every time that government has tried to create jobs or stimulate the economy, it has hurt the nation. The great depression lasted longer because of it. Listen fool. Your hero tried it and has failed miserably. What more proof do you need?Don't tell me that you advocate a higher stim bill?
Because I greatly enjoy busting your vagina.
you truly have no clue what you're talking aboutgo back and read about the depression and find out what really extended it (hint - it was austerity measures forced by Repubs after stimulus by Roosevelt started to work)Consult a historian before you bother posting again - unless of course you just want to make up more bullshit
NO, you don't have any idea what you are talking about.Theory ends when reality begins.AGAIN, OBAMA did exactly what you advocate. Where are the jobs, where is the growth, where is the 8% UE, where is the reduction in deficit?
great -then tell us all about Roosevelt what he did and didn't do
The Depression only ended due to WW2 and the pent up demand after the war was over.
that is partially true but guess what that was massive borrowing and spending by the government (much greater than anything we're doing today)
No, you had a domestic population who went without for 5 years and a decimated world economy desperate for our goods and services.
Yes you have. You and thousands of miscreant haters like you have damaged the nation. You are destroying the character of this nation and any semblance of rational discourse. Your fringe group cannot be reasoned with but must be shown to rational voters for the bigots and far right zealots that you truly are. You are not bringing down a President, you are bringing down a nation.
major points for the use of "miscreant".that drove several to their dictionary....
Lol, the idiots on this board are too much. That's ok though, that train of thought has allowed me to make some nice dough, so let's stimulate more, borrow more and print more baby. Lol
