Momoa looks a lot more like the Robert Howard description of Conan actually.

Howard is the author of the source material for the uncultured among you.

Both are dwarfed by Zyzz and Mighty Groink of course.

HOWEVER, here is a 4:30 clip of the new movie, i'm a conan fan regardless, so i'll wait til its on dvd then ill buy it used on ebay

I also see they no effort to try and get another good actor to play Franco Columbu part

Nope, he doesn't. I've been a Robert E Howard fan since I was young, and read all of the original Conan stories, so I'm a bit biased.

Jason was perfect as Khal Drogo in Game Of Thrones, but certainly not Conan. Not muscular enough. And Conan wasn't half Hawaiian, lol.

Arnold wasn't perfect either. The physique was there of course, but not tall enough. Conan was described as "nearly a giant". At least 6'5. And Conan had black hair, not brown.

The guy who played Boagrius that Brad Pitt killed at the beginning of Troy would make a PERFECT Conan, if you gave him long black hair and no beard. Or even the guy that played Thor wouldn't be bad, if you gave him black hair and a tan.

Don't know who comes up with the casting for this shit, but they're not doing a very good job...

As a matter of fact, yes, if he didn't have the speech impediment. At least visually, he would have made a better, more accurate portrayal.

his acting (Jason) is better than his physique. the story line is good, and the producers are into making money. they don't give a shit about comparing two Conans from two different lifetime.

He can't even hold down a 2min acting cameo on King of Queens... but if he was limited to talking like arnold was in the first Conan, then yes he could have been a conan too
