QUESTION from above - Is the price of your water service pretty high?

ANSWER - I have no idea but I'll look it up.

I never pay bills cause I set it up many years ago so that all my bills go to my bank and they take care of it on my behalf, but that's an interesting question because of the history of water here in the desert.

I do know that it's damn cheap though.

Camera is tilted, looks like it's 90° to the horizon.

The crust is diff on the Eastern US than the Western US. So a earthquake of the same manitude would be felt over a larger area East of the Rockies, than West of the Rockies.

yeah satin is not glossy . they dont have the marine glaze. its a kit you have to order over the internet. but yes a gloss paint should work it usually has polyeurathane mixed in for the gloss effect. polyeurathane is 1/50th the strength of marine grade but it still does the job as long as you dont have black people trampling all over your porch

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I was on the 9th floor of a downtown Cincinnati office building when it hit. There was 7 of us in the conference room and we all started looking at each other and I said "Earthquake". Many evacuated the building. I was surprised at how far away it was considering how strong we felt it.

Actually it would take one hell of a big quake to knock that chair over, but only a small wind gust.

I think that there is a math formula to figure it out.

You may not be aware of this but there are smart people out there who do develop
equations  to 'explain' the force it would take to knock over a patio chair such as seen in one of the above photos.

I have one friend in particular who is a fooking QM genius but whenever I ask him to solve a problem that takes considerable concentration, I get an immediate reply like the following:

Last night upon a stair
I met a man that wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish that man would stay away

I think it's his way of saving, "Go to hell, you dumb-shit!"

But I do believe that there is an equation for any natural ocurrance .... some of which have yet to be discovered or have simply been overlooked by guys like Bomz, GH, or JF and a few other GetBiggers who seem to often stumble over great ideas or thoughts without actually realizing it.

A lot of you GetBiggers are fooking GENUISES, but you're just too damn dumb to realize it!

I actually live in Indianapolis but my corporate office is right downtown Cincy. So I only go there when I have to. I am a corp manager for them but I can't do the whole cubicle thing and didn't want to leave Indy so they allow me to work remote but I have to go there a couple times a month. I had to stay the night Mon and Tues and stayed at the Garfield Hotel. They had a very weak workout room. Where is the Power Station located from there?

I'll take an earthquake any day.

You would take an earthquake over a hurricane? You're an idiot. Earthquakes are no joke. And most of the buildings along the East coastline were not constructed to withstand even the smallest quakes. 6.0 is pretty serious for the Maryland/DC area.

A a little Summer Breeze is headed our way.  ;)  I remember going outside in Hugo as a little kid and swimming in the street and jumping in the air and the wind would blow you back and it was impossible to stand upright.

Earthquake never again.  Jezebelle has been checking the USGS site every day.  There was a major earthquake in Charleston in 1886 and I looked at some of the pictures and I hope it never comes, but there is no warning.

I grew up here so an earthquake every once in a while doesn't bother me or most people who grew up here.
