he IS dumb as a rock, that's also one of the reasons why he made it so far.
I can imagine him sitting in the kitchen one day in his gymrat times thinking: "Ommmmm, did i injeckt zis shteroids now or hef i not injeckt it?" and inject some more, probably a few times a week, resulting in more growth.
