Bottom line, the first cheap move was the head butt and it does deserve being acknowledged as such.

Ortiz got what he deserved. Fuck him.

Boxing needs more excitement like this with all the other sports and things on TV these days competing for viewers.

Good for Mayweather. Think any advertiser or anyone getting a piece will back out of his next fight because of this? Try again.

Mayweather is a hell of a fighter, but a total grub of a person, I agree Ortiz was looking for a way out.  Larry Merchant is a legend and whilst hes annoying at times I love watching his post fight interviews.

oh, it was 2-1 FMW on the cards before zab judah part II. that averages out to about 8-4 in a 12 round fight.  ::)

4 rounds to ortiz on aggression, just didn't think he'd get that aggressive.

You must know too there was literally only one second of the 3rd round left, floyd wanted to fight, not spend the last 30seconds of the round being apologised to.

very shrewd move there by floyd.

the other guy was outclassed.  floyd was getting hungry and knew he could punk Ortiz, and go enjoy a sandwich.

Plus his lip had just gotten fcked up with the headbutt (he showed it to cameras later).  At this point, Ortiz just lost the gentleman card.  If the bleeding had gotten worse, Floyd may have lost in 4 or 5 rounds as a result of the screwed up lip.

Cool fight.  I wish more ended like this.

but its not the refs fault its ORTIZ fault
that head butt could have ended the fight... or seriously injure floyd (people fail to see this)
ortiz deserved what he got.

The fight was a combine both fighter and the refree were in agreement that the fight should have ended in that way at the round 4!
Clue number 1 : watch the video at 1:01 the refree turn his head away from the fighter to the judges pure WWE style so he has an excuse not seeing the sucker punch that Floyd landed!
Clue number 2 : watch the video at 2:25 Ortiz in his corner instead of being angry and furious toward Floyd because the way he got sucker punched he is instead happy to stand up smile and hug Mayweather!
Staged SHIT like this is another reason why boxing is DEAD!
