Hulks powers have evolved. Look at World War Hulk and Ultimate Hulk...he picked up thors and hit him with it...lol and beat the shit out og the other avengers.

Indie, I liked your write-up a lot. Certainly an in-depth analysis.
However, in your summation, when citing all of Thor's positives, you neglected to mention that he is an actual "god".
I truly believe that later writers abandoned the original spirit and intent of Stan Lee's vision, to create a stronger being than Hulk.

Nice.

But if you look on the "tale of the tape" it clearly states that Thor has the the physical powers greater than other Asgardian Gods. It's pretty clear as day. And yes, writers have kinda abandoned the original intent as it all comes down to popularity.

In my opinion, the writers should stay true to the original theme. There are still many ways to battle a "god", just as there are clearly ways to battle Superman.

I have an animated version of a battle in which Loki takes control of Hulk in order to destroy Thor & kill off Odin during the Odin Sleep. Essentially he kills Banner so that Hulk is his own entity, & under his control he is brushing through everyone and swatting them like flies. However once Loki loses control of him he smashed Thor to the point of death (saved from Hela by the Enchantress' powers) and tears through the realm right to the very bed of Odin. At the pivotal moment, right before he connects with Odin, Hela summons him to hell at the request of Loki & Thor.

In summary, when it comes to battle Hulk destroys everyone and everything.

Apologies my friend, i had not at the time of posting my reply (i shall not make that error in future!). Truly an incredible write up covering just about every known aspect of the battles throughout the decades, you must have a true passion for this to commit so much of your time to the subject. Your justification for Hulk is well thought and researched, i look forward to reading more of these in future!
