Ok, can't take it anymore, all these lazy fucks.
I am 44, I have worked in retail for 21 years and make about 30k, I made more 15 years ago than today. No college went in the Navy when I graduated HS and worked when I got out. Played business owner in some endeavors over the years and was willing to deal with the hardships.
But over the last year I have purchased a 3rd vehicle, gave the second to my son in law, purchased a home and can afford food and whatever else I desire with a little effort and maybe not going out to eat every night. I spend semi-wisely and blame no others for my mistakes. I guess I am in the 99% but I dream of moving up closer to that 1%. That's what keeps me sane and moving forward.
My parents instilled in me something that seems to lack these days, Honor, Responsibility and Pride.
Oh and I am always looking for help in my store, but most have lacked the above and there work ethic was nonexistent. They don't show-up or constantly call in sick. Hell, I had a stroke last Black Friday but was back to work the following Wed after I got out of the Hospital. No time for coddling when there is money to be made.
