MIK, to the best of my somewhat limited knowledge Mike's 'addiction' was not until after he competed (and lost) against Arnold down thar in Austrailia.

My personal belief is that Arnold's 'dominance' was part of the reason why Mike had somewhat of a downfall back then.

Someone who was somewhat more associated with Mike back then at that time might be able to speak more appropriately on that subject than I am able to do so.

In the meantime, I can do some asking around.

What you guys are missing here (including Che who has been around longer than most of you others)  is the spiderweb association of each and every relatively few bodybuilding competitors back then.

That 'association' is somewhat difficult to describe but competitive bodybuilding was so much smaller then and was never as 'abnoxious' nor political as some of you GetBiggers tend to believe.

But there was a 'fellowship' that tended to award the contenders.

I find it difficult to explain but maybe some of you Getbiggers who were a part of this game back then can elaborate without exaggeration or non-factual remarks such as personal sexuaL fantasies which appear to be so common on this board.
