I Still have a lot to prime and I`ve spent probably around 18 hours so far.  I then have to go over it all with Gloss White and then for the floor and the steps I am using Australian Timber Oil in Mahogany Flame to highlight the Wood Grain.  I really hope I can get it all done by this week.

so your painting all the railings n stuff but staining the flooring and steps of the deck?. youll need some sort of oil based polyeurathane to seal in that stain.  you could go with a satin polyeurathane if you dont want the steps and flooring to be to glossy, not sure what look you prefer

Yah I`m thinking some sort of Spar Varnish.

This is the look I am going for.  Like a wooden boat deck almost.

On the right.

hope the the varnish turns out well but im pretty sure its going to go on thin as fuck, ive always done hardwoods first by sanding , then stain wait a couple days then put on the polyeurathane. ive never tried a varnish though im suspecting its thinner then the polyeurathane. i think poly is probably a few times thicker than varnish

I am thinking a high grade Polyurethane.  Some people don`t even use a varnish or a Polyurethane with the Timber Oil, but I want a somewhat glossy look.

you need a protective coat of poly IMO . get a semi gloss or gloss OIL BASED poly. first try with semi gloss if you dont like semi gloss or if not enough glossy for you then next coat put on gloss. you should wait a day or 2 in between coats. its probably best wait 3 days. make sure your shoes are nice and clean before you step on the deck to apply your coats or youll leave footprints and tracks

dude tries hard to make himself into xfactor and alex23, two of getbig's REAL financial rollers.  don't give him more fuel, telling him he can afford low price - free labor from his fraudulent trust fund.

:(.

Always liked Frazier. Always a workman, never a showboat. Shame his old Stern interviews aren't up, He was always entertaining, especially discussing the Ali fights.
