BIGHER, I wanna back up what Bob stated above and add a couple of comments that may be of help to you in your upcoming efforts to win a bodybuilding title ... or as some Getbiggers say ... "To win a little plastic trophy!"
Judging a contest is a consensus of opinion where each individual's opinion may be different ....
No single individual makes the overall decision and I gotta admit that there is no better way to judge an NPC amateur bodybuilding contest than the 'method' that is used within the NPC today and has been used for as long as I can remember.
You should learn how it's done!
I've worked with a few friends who have done well as NPC amateurs and IFBB pros and in the case of the amateurs who have the desire to excel (such as yourself) I always encourage them to sit in as an NPC Test Judge in an effort to find out what judging a contest is all about ... and how to do it!
By sitting in as a Test Judge you, yourself, will determine in your own mind who is impressive and who is not impressive and the 'whys' and 'why nots' behind that personal 'opinion'.
Then you will commit your decision in writing and eventually compare it to the official outcome to see how your score compares.
You may not agree here and now, but I can guarantee you that you will learn much more than you presently know about the judging process... and that alone will give you a better idea of what is happening while you are competing against others who know very little about the NPC judging process.
And you'll also learn to avoid the mistakes that were so noticeable to you while you sat in as a Test Judge.
Then once you become familiar with the judging process, I would encourage you to learn how the overall scores are tabulated and thereby understand how the winners are 'chosen'.
Thanks for listening and good luck to you in your future NPC/IFBB endeavors, Stunt

JUDE2, Good call but I'll say JOEL THOMAS.
But outside of TODD and JOEL, I have no idea who's entered.
Ron will most likely be sending us the contenders' list soon.

Leaf, I got a feeling that this contest will be yours one day.
Or BigHers.
Or a couple of other GetBiggers whose ID I have presently forgotten.
Who will be the first GetBigger to get a Pro Card, I wonder?

Chick, Can you post some pics of what you think are the ideal physiques that they want for mens physique. Because the guys who are winning the local and state shows are all over the board in terms of conditioning, muscularity and look. It has even changed from the guys who won their pro cards at jr.nationals to the ones who won at north americans and the usa's this summer. Thank you

JUdging is all over the board because its still a new division and physiques are all over the board...judges can only judge whats in front of them....that said...they all have their own opinions and tastes. Much like Figure and Bikini have found a constant over the years theyve been around...so will MP and WP

1000 competitors? Serious question here. How many besides the ones that got mad publicity will actually get a fair shake even if they look 10x's better??

If their good enough...theyle stand out from the pack. There are numerous examples over the years of guys no one ever heard of doing well or winning..
