Columbo is great. They don't make shows like that anymore. I'll have to watch some today.

Terms of Endearment, Selena, Steel Magnolias, Sweet 16, St. Elmo's Fire, Pretty in Pink, Kramer vs. Kramer, Wild One, All Peanuts and Snoopy holiday movies, It's a Wonderful Life
The sequel to "Terms of Endearment," "The Evening Star" had extensive shooting up the street (Beachamp) from the duplex I was living in in 1996. Support trucks for the company parked for six blocks in each direction around the house they were shooting at...The lights used so much current the power company could not deliver enough to that location so they had to have huge diesel generators on sound proof truck beds. they also had "Honey Wagons," costume, make up, and motor homes for the principals.

Reboot was fine ...best part was the beginning however when Kirk's father saved his crew and sacrificed himself while only being in command for less than 20 minutes..that was awesome and poignant I also thought showing what Spock had to endure during his childhood was great as well...McCoy was perfect...in character....also Kirk beating the training challenge by cheating was good as well The villian was good too. the whole tension thing between Kirk and Spock was realistic but overdone especially when Spock banished Kirk from the ship...I also thought Kirk came off as a jerk...why would anyone want him to be captain?

The point was: Nobody wanted him to be captain, he sort of cheated himself into the chair. What kept him there was that he was brilliant in what he did.

I think most of the movies I watch are ones I’ve seen many times:
The Odd Couple (1968) Die Hard Grumpy Old Men Rapid Fire Spies Like Us Last of the Dogmen Ghostbusters Predator The Patriot Batman (1989) Commando Back To School Cliffhanger Most things with Clint Eastwood and Tommy Lee Jones
Two that I must be careful watching - if I happen to see them on TV, I’ll actually stop what I’m doing and watch them until they’re over: Dances With Wolves and Terms of Endearment... both long films.
