Also think the "many years" above is actually two. 5th in 1986, the 3rd place in 1988. Granted, he did get 6th place twice as well.

´85, pro debut at Night of the Champions 5th place finish!!
 '85 his debut at the Olympia 6th place!
 '86,87,88 all top 6 places with ´88 even 3rd! (in which he got screwed, i mean Gaspari?? come on)

so from '83 up until his pec tear in '89 all top competitions, all with top 6 finishes!

Mass combined with perfect symetry and balance... and great lines!

and de Mey spent years at the top! top 6 in top competition for years....

In addition to those Mr. Olympias I mentioned, in pro shows he finished top five in the Grand Prix of Germany, Greece etc. in 88 and once in 90. And as nice as it was that those were being held at the time, they were no really a measure of how good one was.

Sorry, feel that DeMey definitely was overrated, can live with the fact that you feel he wasn't, no worries.

that was '86 and 6th.
stil the guy competed from '83 to 88 in top shows...
you call world championships and world games smaller shows???
and even the noc was a top show at that time dude..
placed in top 6 every time, winning the world games, second in 2 world championships. was a european champion. and about the grand prix after the O.. in these days the top Bodybuilders did these shows! so quality was good! not smaller shows..
every Olympia he competed in he placed top 6, with a 3rd place in 88....

Berry at the world games in 85.I saw him guest pose in 1981 in England when he had finished 2nd or 3rd in the junior Mr Europe,they called him the new Arnold,he was 1 year older than me and an absolute monster ,then i saw him in 82 with Erica Mes winning the couples contest at wembley.
