If you get in a fight with dutch people they will gang up on you with groups of 8 and still sucker punch you.  ;D Beware of these heroes.

I think it's the inheritage from the 70s. We had governments then that were very soft: high taxes, prisons became hotels, being a pedo wasn't that bad, it was ok to call a police officer ashole, you called your schoolteacher by his firstname and you were allowed to stay away from work for weeks if the cat had scratched your hands. It created a generation of sissies.
Things like that are being turned around now, but it'll take a generation again.
But I travelled around and seen the world. Holland is a boring country with not much perspective when you are young and healthy and clever and wanne make some money. But if you get ill or things in life go very wrong (could happen to all of you badass getbiggers) it's not so bad after all...

One or two people in my team are like that too (most are not btw). I want them out, but there's just so much legal protection for people with a contract. There were good reasons back in the day for that, because plain workers were taken advantage from in a disgusting way, but in the 21st century it's almost impossible in Holland to get rid of people who are incompetent over and over again. This is what I don't like about Holland..

Yeah, the lads were tellin me at work that you'd nearly have to knock out a colleague to get fired here, they can't fire anyone. I guess that's good for a Paddy like myself who is hungover as phuck every Monday (but I still drag my arse in)
