Because everyone hates him. Its gotta hurt when they know that the man (Paul) standing there represents everything they are supposed to, but don't.
They all know he's honest, and passionate about the country. They know they really arent anymore.
And it must be frustrating as hell for them to not be able to attack his past or his record because there just isnt anything to attack - when all of them have a laundry list of public moral failures (lieing, hypocrisy, corruption).

The man is exactly who he presents himself as - whereas all the rest are images carefully crafted for public consumption, when the man behind them is living a total lie for power and money. When Paul stands next to them, he makes them feel like what they are - big, fat phonies. Therefore they hate him. Not to mention they all run there little backroom deals, and Paul has nothing to do with them. Im sure it doesnt help that he votes against all their bullshit bills and legislature they put out for their buddies.
thanksgiving dinner.  your ex-wife is there.  she brought her new man.

not only is he 5 years younger than you, but he also has a full head of hair, a better job, plenty of muscles, and dimples.

you know everyone in the room is looking at him thinking 'wow, she totally upgraded on that getbigger's ass".

So, you devote as little attention to the new guy as possible.  You aren't going to include him in conversation, as he will tell you about his time in the peace corps then special forces, followed by the time he savedd a dozen orphans from a burning school bus.  That new guy you hate - who outshines you in every way - that is Ron Paul.

You two blew me away with this!

ahahah

This definitely illustrates the point!

Ron Paul won that debate by default. All the other candidates were shredding each other to pieces while Ron Paul rose over the fray and delivered a few hard-hitting points.

BTW, anyone notice how not only King was ignoring Ron Paul, but every time he lobbed a question to RP he asked RP to answer "quickly?" Pure bias.

Juts who the fuck do these people think they are?

Sounds more like Newt, Romney, Santorum, etc than Paul.

Romney and Gingrich have actually accomplished things in public life. They have balanced budgets. They have helped to create jobs. Ron Paul has done nothing but bring pork to his district.
Jan. Jobs: 36,000!!

Lol, you sound like Santorum, I wouldnt call certain things "accomplishments" if they didnt help the country.

HOWEVER, that being said, I have no problem with the way Romney ran his business' , the fact that he created some jobs, etc...
But Romney has no convictions, he doesnt give a damn about the country.
Newt is just vieing for power, he's a sleazeball who has just as dangerous a vision for America.
Theyre both lieing hypocritical pieces of shit whos images are carefully crafted for human consumption. Which would fit your description of the guy that looks good but is in debt, has no job, uses the system, etc. Your analogy was a bad one.

RP is the only one that actually gives a damn about the constitution, liberty of the citizens, etc...
RP, for all his foreign policy crap, is the best candidate for this country. We need someone to fix the economy NOW, he's not going to be able to insitute a lot of his foreign policy changes.
Without fixing the economy, were fucked, and none of them represent a true change in the economic status quo except Paul
