Damn. I went 4 days without a drink. No symptoms other then the craving of having a drink. I buckled today and bought some vodka. While I think I'm far from being an alcoholic, this is a setback.

Alcohol is a drug. You don't need it, but people who try it usually want it after a while. My mother has had alcohol everyday for the past 20+ years. she is well past the point of just quitting. She would need detox at this point. I tell her that she needs to stop, meanwhile I am following in her footsteps. This shit sucks man  |

I hear ya` bro,but don`t be in denial,because the first step in trying to overcome the booze habit,is admitting that it is indeed a habit. My father was an abusive fucking drunk..........the only person I ever really hated in my whole life........never wanted to be anything remotely like him,then BINGO,I was worse than he ever thought of being. Took me many years and about 60 zillion tries before I finally quit. Sorry if I sound like a reformed drunk or a bible banger because I never preach to people about it in real life,but we go way back and I feel like I can say this stuff to you in all seriousness. |

Most drunks are very smart........just a bad habit that doesn`t discriminate.........cop s,lawyers,doctors,cooks,Indian chiefs........all can be drunks. If you think you have a problem,call AA.......I wasted lots of time trying to quit using my methods which worked,but only for varying amounts of time. |
