LOL I actually own that CD :-)  Good stuff right there!!!

I got the CD too, LOL!

I started to read some of the "Young Bond" novels, they aren't too bad actually, although you have to see them apart a bit from the Bond series. For children's books, they are pretty good though.

Huge Freight Train Action Sequence For James Bond 23 Revealed!
Detailing a scene which will see Daniel Craig performing stunts on a freight train, the news that the currently untitled Bond 23 movie may no longer be shot in India has revealed a some very interesting information indeed...

A report in The Times Of India points out that James Bond 23 may be planning to film a sequence elsewhere (most likely South Africa) due to the fact that the railways there have not yet given permission to block the tracks in Ahmedabad and Goa for the filming. Not exactly exciting news, eh? Well, have a read of what exactly they're planning on filming...

"This could be one of the biggest Hollywood movies shot in our country. Trains are the backbone of the film. We’ll pay for the shooting and also mention Indian Railways in the credit line. The shooting was supposed to happen in October-November. Now, we’ve postponed it to January-February. For the past three months, we’ve been trying to get things in order. The film has Daniel Craig doing stunts on a freight train. While the Indian Railways has given us permission to shoot, I need to meet someone and explain how important it is for us to block two tracks for eight hours a day over five to six days. For the past 15 days, I’ve been trying to get someone to hear me out. South African authorities are waiting to provide everything that is required to support this movie. If we can’t get this cooperation from India, the film will no longer be shot here."

Should be quite something! While details are somewhat vague, the fact that they require such a lengthy shooting schedule points to this being a big set piece for the Sam Mendes directed flick. Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place, and stay tuned for more details as and when we have them.

One of Bonds old Villains in Bond 23??
Could an old enemy of bond be in the next bond film?
via IGN.com

The spectre of a classic Bond villain loomed large following curious remarks made by Bond 23 screenwriter John Logan at a BAFTA Screenwriters lecture Tuesday. /Film points out this article at WhatCulture! that said:

"Rather interestingly, during the talk last night Logan was reminded by an audience member of a quote that he said some ten years ago that, in his opinion, 'Bond should always fight Blofeld'. When pressed on this he gave a wry smile and said 'Bond should always fight Blofeld'."

Yes, supervillain Ernst Stavro Blofeld, the head of SPECTRE (SPecial Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion) previously played by the likes of Donald Pleasence, Telly Savalas, Charles Gray and Max Von Sydow.

Blofeld has been rumored as returning for Bond 23 for awhile, with actors such as Michael Sheen and Anthony Hopkins linked with the role. But with Javier Bardem and Ralph Fiennes reportedly set for Bond 23, could one of them be the new Blofeld? We shall see.

i wouldnt mind seeing Blofeld, but i dont think he would fit into these new bond movies.

Ola Rapace Set To Join The Cast Of Bond 23?
Perhaps best known for being the husband of actress Noomi Rapace, the Swedish actor has reportedly joined the cast of the currently untitled Bond 23 in an unspecified role! Hit the jump for details...
Bleeding Cool have spotted a post by Swedish newspaper 'Expressen', which claims that the actor has pulled out of a showjumping event in order to film a role in a big movie instead. So what? Well, it just so happens that their "sources" believe it to be the highly anticipated (and currently untitled) Bond 23!

The paper reportedly asked both his agent and MGM for a comment, but they both refused to either confirm or debunk the news...normally a good indication that it's true. I'm not familiar with any of his past work, but he does seem like the kind of guy Daniel Craig's 007 could face off against (as the photo to the left surely proves) but be sure to share your thoughts on all this in the usual place!

Duntrune Castle To Be 007's Ancestral Home In New Bond Film
The Owner of Duntrune Castle in Scotland has said that the property will be used for the final scene in the upcoming James Bond movie and will also be featured as Bond's ancestral home.

Patricia Malcolm, who owns the Duntrune Castle in Scotland, has revealed that the castle will be used in the upcoming Bond 23 film, rumored to be named Skyfall. Filming will take place in February and will also feature all the villains from the movie there. Malcolm also revealed that the castle will also double as the ancestral home for James Bond saying, "They are using the castle, just the outside, it's going to be used for the end of the film. I think it is meant to be James Bond's ancestral home - he will bring all the villains here." Filming of the project is supposedly taking place in China and Turkey, but producers wanted to film a winter scene so they chose Scotland and are bringing their own snow.

The ending of the film will also feature a bunch of explosions and mayhem, with sets being built for the film for the castle to be attack by land and by sea. Said Malcolm, "It looks as if they are going to construct the set and then blow it up. I think they are going to attack the castle from land and sea, there are going to a lot of bangs and explosions."With no other word on who the villain is or even confirmation on the official title looks like we will have to wait a little while to see what all this means for 007.

Harry Potter Actress Helen McCrory Joins the Cast of Bond 23
The Daily Mail is reporting that Helen McCrory, who played Narcissa Malfoy in 3 Harry Potter films has been added to the next James Bond movie.

Helen played Draco's mother in the Harry Potter franchise, and has a pivotal role in the finale. Without spoiling anything for the few who have not seen the movie, her character displays a lot of emotions, and says so much without saying much of anything in a pulse pounding scene during the climactic battle. The funny thing is that she was originally cast in an earlier Potter film as Bellatrix Lestrange, but she became pregnant and had to bow out. That part of course went to Helena Bonham Carter.

There is no word yet on which role she'll be playing in the latest Bond film.

Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes has been finalising his cast for the new James Bond movie and it includes classically trained star Helen McCrory and French beauty Berenice Marlohe as the latest Bond girl.

Ms Marlohe has screen tested for Mendes at Pinewood Studios and met with approval.

Ben Whishaw and Ms McCrory have as yet unspecified roles.

McCrory was Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter pictures.

She was also in Twelfth Night and Uncle Vanya, Mendes's final productions at the Donmar Warehouse - as was Simon Russell Beale, who had been in discussions about taking a role in Bond 23 until scheduling got in the way.

Hugh Jackman Says He'd Conisder Playing James Bond
Hugh Jackman states he was in the running to play James Bond before Daniel Craig was cast and goes on to say that if Craig vacates the role, he's definitely interested in replacing him.

Source: The Press Association

Hugh Jackman has revealed he would be interested in acquiring 007 status if Daniel Craig chooses not to return to the role.

Hugh's name was actually on the shortlist back in 2006 when casting was underway for Casino Royale (2006), but he declined to pursue the role.

He recalled: "I got a call from my agent saying, 'There is some possible interest in you for Bond, are you interested?' At the time I wasn't. I was about to shoot X-Men 2 and Wolverine had become this thing in my life and I didn't want to be doing two such iconic characters at once.

"I think every male at some point thinks about playing James Bond so it was not right then, but it may be right if it comes back."

He also went on to say that he would embrace the challenge if he decided to actually take on the challenge, saying: "I think you've got to be scared as an actor and keep taking risks. It doesn't always work out but it's a healthy place to be."

Albert Finney Joins The Cast Of Bond 23
The legendary Irish actor will join the already very impressive cast of Sam Mendes' latest installment in the Bond franchise. Click to find out a little about who he will be playing..
The Daily Mail UK are reporting that Albert Finney has joined the cast of Sam Mendes' James Bond flick. A veteran of the stage and screen, this will mark Finney's return to acting after a 5 year hiatus while he battled prostate cancer. According to the site Finney..

..will play a Foreign Office mandarin with powers over the Secret Intelligence Service, described to me as a reasonably big role and full of class. The part probably makes him M’s boss, though she — as played by Judi — might not see it that way.

The character James Bond is always tailored to the actor cast in the role...from Sean Connery to Roger Moore.  Some time watch the Maverick television episodes from the 1950's and you can see seminal bits of Moore as Bond.

watched it but never finished it.  worst Bond film ever!
Sorry, Ach. Totally disagree. It might have been one of the best Connery Bond flicks if Sean was 007, instead of Lazenby. Lazenby was solid, but no Connery. 'You Only Live Twice' and Thunderball are easily poorer flicks than OHMSS.

OHMSS is one of the BEST bond movies, sadly the Bind in it sucks! I am totally with you here.

It's also one of the best novels.

Although i have to say i love Thunderball, the novel is great.

"You only live twice" is weak, both the movie and the novel.

Ben Whishaw Cast As "Q" In Skyfall
It seems that James Bond's gadget man will return in the next installment and be played by 31 year old British actor Ben Whishaw. A Much younger take on the character then..

We had already heard rumors that Whishaw had been cast in the movie but now the BBC website has confirmed that the young actor will indeed be joining the very impressive cast of Sam Mendes' Skyfall as none other than Q, the man who provides Bond with all of his cool gadgets.

Q was previously played by Desmond Llewelyn in From Russia With Love and every subsequent Bond movie except Live And Let Die and Never Say Never Again until his passing in 1999. John Cleese then played the character in both of the Pierce Brosnan efforts. So at 31, 12 years younger than Daniel Craig, this will definitely be a different take on the sort of mentor/student role we have seen previously.

Whishaw is probably best known for playing the lead in the creepy big screen adaptation of the novel Perfume but he has also appeared in numerous British tv shows. Filming is currently under-way on Skyfall under the direction of Sam Mendes. As well as Daniel Craig and Ben Whishaw the movie stars Javier Bardem, Dame Judi Dench, Naomie Harris, Berenice Marlohe, Ralph Fiennes and Albert Finney.

Michael Fassbender On Whether He'd Take Over The Role Of James Bond In Future
The actor who brought the villainous Magneto to life in X-Men: First Class addresses the buzz surrounding him taking over the James Bond franchise from Daniel Craig. Check out his comments in full here.
While doing the press rounds for X-Men: First Class, both director Matthew Vaughn and star Michael Fassbender discussed how the character of Magneto and the film itself were inspired by James Bond movies of the 1960's. A combination of this and his performance in the the film based on the Marvel comic book led to a lot of talk that the Irish actor would be the perfect replacement for Daniel Craig when he decides to walk away from playing the iconic character created by Ian Fleming in 1953. Talking to Total Film (via Digital Spy) here's what he had to say.

"I think Daniel is doing a great job and I don't think too far into the future. It's one step at a time right now. Of course, every guy knows the feeling of walking round the house singing the song to himself, walking around corners with an imaginary gun."

"Let's see what happens."
