150lbs is the biggest in my gym.  Not a hardcore gym at all.  Myself and maybe 2 other guys use dumbbells in the 100 range.

Never used 200s... I just can't. LOL! Oh wait...sometimes for rows...

For reps (6-12)...

Shoulder press: 130lbs

Incline press: 160lbs

Flat press: 170lbs

Shrugs: 180 lbs

Rows: 180-200 lbs

A few years back we had a pair of 100kg (220lb) dumbells in Temple Gym but then one day they mysteriously vanished and no-one seems to know where they went. Maybe they got nicked?

Heaviest dumbells I have physically used for training - 160lbs for shrugs. Would have been able to use more if it wasn't for the above-average thickness of the handles.

200's @ gold venice.

Idiots broke most of the other heavy DB's in the last few years and the New And Improved golds hasn't replaced them. Now there's a pair of 160's, a single 170, a couple of 180's and then the 200's

there used to be pairs in 5lb jumps all the way up to the 200's  :'(

People think that they have to lift extremely heavy too get big/build muscle. Thats not bodybuilding, thats STRONGMAN training. I workout at my local rec center, dumbells go up to only 100lbs. New rec center opening up next year in the fall, hopefully itll have better equipment/dumbells.

180 pound dumbbells. But last week I approached the owner and was like, "WTF, 180 pound dumbbells, are you fucking serious?" I then proceeded to hit a double bicep shot and said to him, "Do these arms look like they can grow with the 180's?" He hesitantly said, "Of course not, sir." I responded with, "Im a hardcore bodybuilder and I need heavy iron. Get the 200+ dumbbells or else." Interestingly enough, the next day they had 210 pound dumbbells. Even better, they personally rolled them over for me so I could press them.

hell no! getting too old to lift crazy anymore

a huge guy I used to train with tried to bench the 200's and almost tore his pec just getting them into place.

that guy doing 17 reps with the 210s... just crazy strong.
