The son of Ventura County Supervisor Peter Foy has been indicted for the illegal manufacture and sale of HGH, a human growth hormone used by bodybuilders.
Peter Foy II, 33, and Brandon Adams, 27, were charged with felonies in a grand jury indictment and will be arraigned on May 11.
Both Foy and Adams were released on their own recognizance.
The indictment comes from the seizure in July 2009 by Simi Valley police of liquid steroids, an electric pill press machine, syringes, handwritten notes about steroids and about $4,000 in cash.
At the time, Foy II and Brandon pleaded not guilty to felony charges, and a preliminary hearing had been set for Monday. But that hearing was canceled when the grand jury found probable cause for an indictment.
State Deputy Atty. Gen. Diana Callaghan pursued the grand jury indictment due to numerous postponements in the felony case.
“I had no choice,” she said.
