Yes it doesnt take guts to order a mission in a foreign country despite your advisors says no and it could spark up conflict

But going to Wisconsin does ::)

Seriously if your not even gonna try this is gonna be a looooong night amigo

good points.

obama would have been destoryed by Rush and Hannity if he sent US forces into pakistan and bin laden woudl have been at the corner market buying skittles at the time.

the same wimps who cried 'we should not go into paki airspace to get him' would be crying for their rights.

There was nothing bold about what he did, as evident by the fact that, this time last year, Obama's approval rating was actually LOWER than it was when Bin Laden was alive.

No, there wasn't. But, don't take my word for it. Ask the SEALs themselves:

Obama wasn’t in the field, at risk, carrying a gun. As president, at every turn he should be thanking the guys who put their lives on the line to do this. He does so in his official speeches because he speechwriters are smart.

‘But the more he tries to take the credit for it, the more the ground operators are saying, “Come on, man!” It really didn’t matter who was president. At the end of the day, they were going to go."

Once again, where was this bastion of boldness and bravery, when his supporters in the Wisconsin unions needed him last week?

And why, oh why, did killing Bin Laden inflate Obama's approval numbers for all of two or three WEEKS (Bush's numbers stayed higher much longer, after Saddam Hussein got caught; and that was the "wrong" war)?

The risk for OB, and the reason I give him credit in this context is that he had to give the go ahead on an operation that if it fails would seriously damage his reelection chances.

So instead of playing it safe, he pulled the trigger.  he gets props for that.  Not much else.

Now to say he didn't go on the  eoperation and get shot at is a little more obvious and I don't see how that's any argument at all.

That's the point. Any president, in the same situation, would undergo the same risk.

Yet, Obama didn't bother being "bold" and going to Wisconsin to help Tom Barrett out. WHY? Because he didn't want to be associated with his losing and have that reflect on him. Obama's image was far more important than standing by the people, who he told he'd put on the comfortable shoes and join them in protests, if the public-sector unions were threatened.

When it was game time, with the lights on bright and everything on the line for Barrett and the unions, Obama PUNKED OUT!!
