Remember him in Casino Royale with the shot of him on the beach pretty good physique. Then saw him in the Women with the dragon tattoo totaly small and soft so i wouldnt doubt he uses "help" getting in shape for certain roles like Bond.

I remember hearing him in an interview say it took him 6 weeks to get in shape for the first film. Not sure if he'd trained before, but to go from nothing to his screen build in 6 weeks is pretty good work if he's doing it clean.
